It's hard to keep track of all the newest features available in Citrix's HDX collection of remote display technologies.
The latest big addition is full integration between XenApp and XenDesktop and Microsoft's Skype for Business unified communications platform. Citrix HDX already supported Skype for Business -- previously Microsoft Lync -- to some extent, but the company promises a significant improvement in the HDX RealTime Optimization Pack 2.0 for Skype for Business. Citrix Synergy 2016 includes several sessions and labs on delivering Skype for Business.
Synergy offers breakout sessions going over all the new features in Citrix HDX, including improvements to USB stylus peripheral device support. Attendees can also learn more about Citrix's enhanced HDX support for Linux virtual desktops. Plus, the show includes two sessions on using HDX 3D Pro, a subgroup focused on 3D graphics acceleration. Advances in infrastructure and GPU virtualization technology make it more realistic for organizations to deliver graphics-intensive remote applications using HDX 3D Pro.
