Citrix Workspace Suite is a collection of Citrix products that information technology (IT) administrators can use to deliver secure access to desktops, data, applications and services to users on any device, on any network, anywhere.
By submitting your personal information, you agree that TechTarget and its partners may contact you regarding relevant content, products and special offers.
The suite includes XenApp, XenDesktop, XenMobile, ShareFile Enterprise and NetScaler Gateway. XenApp and XenDesktop allow admins to deliver virtual Linux or Windows desktops and apps to their users. XenMobile lets admins manage both user-owned and corporate-owned mobile devices. ShareFile is an enterprise file sync-and-share product that gives users a secure environment for accessing corporate content. And the NetScaler Gateway creates a secure network portal to access all the products in the Citrix Workspace Suite. Admins can choose to deliver the suite from any cloud service.
In addition, everything Citrix includes in its XenDesktop Platinum and XenMobile Enterprise products, such as XenClient, CloudBridge, AppDNA and Worx mobile apps, is included in Citrix Workspace Suite. Because it encompasses all of these products, Citrix Workspace Suite makes licensing simpler. Instead of purchasing licensing for each Citrix product separately, organizations pay one perpetual license fee for the entire suite.
Citrix Workspace Suite also comes with a variety of productivity apps, including email, calendar and notes. It offers single sign-on for users so they can easily transition between devices and apps. Plus, IT admins can personalize or restrict the content for individual users, including which devices they can use and which apps they can access.
VMware Workspace Suite is Citrix's top competition in the market.
