Can we upgrade Win2k Terminal Services licenses to Windows Server 2003?

If we have Win2k Terminal Services licenses, can we upgrade them to Windows Server 2003 or do we have to buy new licenses for the full price? If we can upgrade, where can I get information about "Migration Pass"?

To get a legal opinion about licensing, you need to check with the company doing the licensing. Microsoft has this information on its Web site. That said, Windows Server 2003 indeed uses licensing different from that of Windows 2000 Server Terminal Services. I've explained some of the details in my newsletter, and there's a useful chat on the Microsoft Web site. I'd check with your Microsoft reseller about the details about the Migration Pass, since you may qualify for a licensing deal that I don't know about.
