I haven't noticed thin clients having a huge problem with dropped connections, but I'd be interested in the experience of those using a great many of them. There are a few different factors that could come into play here. If the users are connecting across a wide area network (WAN), their connections will be slower than they would be over a local area network (LAN) with (generally speaking) more bandwidth. Make sure that you've got the most recent versions of the client for whatever display protocol you're using. See if anything's interfering with the network, as line noise can lead to dropped connections.
